Brandon Christopher

For Brandon Christopher, the fine arts have been a way of life for a long time. At age 12, when most boys were typically playing sports, Brandon rehearsed for school plays and acted out scenes from his favorite movies and television shows for his family & friends. At that age it was already apparent that he didn't want to be "most boys" and his dreams of success were a big priority.

By the time he was 16 he was sneaking into New York's hottest nightspots to learn all the latest dance moves and keep up with the latest fashion trends. Dancing quickly became his biggest passion and Brandon soon found himself auditioning for music videos and high school musicals.

Two years later, his enthusiasm and ambition led him to take on dancing gigs as a "go-go boy" in clubs throughout New York City. The money he made put him through college, where he obtained his bachelor's degree.

Brandon quickly parlayed his dark, brooding, exotic looks into modeling and acting. After a brief stint modeling in trade and runway shows for up and coming New York City based designers, he studied acting at the prestigious Herbert Berghof Studios in Greenwich Village and received vocal coaching from Mt. Vernon Music Academy and Sarah Lawrence College.

Soon after, he had the pleasure of touring as a personal assistant to dance diva, Corina, who is best remembered for her Top 10 Pop Hit "Temptation" in 1991. While touring he befriended many other singers & dancers and has maintained friendships with many of them including Daphne Rubin-Vega (of the girl-group Pajama Party and later the original Mimi in "Rent") and Yancey Arias (of Broadway's "Miss Saigon" and "The Wild Party.")

But he had a strong desire to perform on stage himself. So, not one to rest on his laurels, Brandon decided to explore the world of theater. He went on to appear in almost three dozen productions, including big-scale musicals like Children Of Eden, Blood Brothers and Man of La Mancha, classics like Arsenic and Old Lace, Count Dracula and The Lady's Not For Burning, slapstick in A Flea In Her Ear, romantic comedy in Sabrina Faire and even the Bard in Shakespeare: Words, Words, Words.

In the process, he developed a reputation as a professional, reliable, hard-working actor. This reputation has made him a well-respected, sought-after actor who could be relied upon to give a memorable performance requiring minimal direction.

During this time, Brandon was blessed with the opportunity to learn from one of his idols, Betty Buckley. Having the Tony award winning & respected theater diva as his acting mentor continues to be a rewarding & fulfilling experience. One of his scene partners during this most unique endeavor was none other than his friend, Deborah Gibson, the talented and respected pop singer and musical theater performer. He also completed a summer intensive at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

Today, Brandon has reached a comfortable, peaceful balance between his inner soul and the challenges of a competitive field. He is ready to approach the next chapter of his life as he puts the last five years behind him and moves on to a labor of love. He has found a new dream and he's determined to have every ounce of him see it come true. In mid-May he will be entering into the studio to start working on his debut CD, Things Left Unsaid.

Brandon Christopher has come full circle but will never stop dreaming. His dreams may get bigger, but he knows that as long as he believes in himself any dream can become a reality!
